วันนี้ (24 ส.ค.2565) เวลา 0930 น. ณ กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว พล.ต.ท.สคุณ พรหมายน ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ได้มอบหมายให้ พล.ต.ต.อภิชาติ สุริบุญญา โฆษกกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว แจ้งต่อสื่อมวลชนถึงผลสรุปของการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเตรียมรับนักท่องเที่ยวในช่วง high season ระหว่างตำรวจท่องเที่ยว สำนักงานตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมือง การท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ และเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลมากกว่า 40 คนจากสถานทูต 18 ประเทศอันได้แก่ ออสเตรเลีย เบลเยี่ยม สหราชอาณาจักร สาธารณรัฐเชค เดนมาร์ก ฟินแลนด์ ฝรั่งเศส เยอรมนี ฮังการี ไอร์แลนด์ อิตาลี ลักเซมเบอร์กโมร็อกโก เนเธอร์แลนด์ นอร์เวย์ สโลวาเกีย และสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ซึ่งได้จัดให้มีขึ้นในวันเดียวกันช่วงเวลา 0900-1300 น.ว่า ผลการประชุมบรรลุเป้าหมายและเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทยเป็นอย่างดี กล่าวคือ
- การประชุมครั้งนี้เป็นเวทีสร้างความเข้าใจการทำงานและแก้ไขอุปสรรคปัญหาของกันและกันเป็นอย่างดีระหว่างหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ซึ่งเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลมีความเข้าใจในการทำงานตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองมากขึ้น โดยจะนำไปแจ้งให้รัฐบาลของตัวเองประชาสัมพันธ์ให้คนของประเทศตัวเองทราบต่อไป
- เป็นการสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างหน่วยงานและเป็นการทำงานแบบบูรณาการระหว่างหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องอย่างดียิ่ง อันจะส่งผลดีต่อนักท่องเที่ยวและภาพลักษณ์ที่ดีการท่องเที่ยวไทยโดยเฉพาะเรื่องความมั่นคงปลอดภัยของนักท่องเที่ยว
- เป็นการส่งสัญญาณให้นานาประเทศทราบว่า ประเทศไทยพร้อมแล้วที่จะรับและดูแลนักท่องเที่ยวในช่วง high season (ต.ค.๖๕ – ก.พ.๖๖) ให้ดีที่สุด
- เป็นการส่งสัญญาณให้องค์การการท่องเที่ยวโลก และนานาประเทศทราบว่า ประเทศไทยพร้อมแล้วที่จะปรับมาตรการที่มีอยู่ให้สอดคล้องต่อมาตรฐานสากลว่าการคุ้มครองนักท่องเที่ยว หรือ International Code for The Protection of Tourists (ICPT) ซึ่งได้รับการรับรองแล้วจากองค์การการท่องเที่ยวโลกเมื่อปลายปีที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งจะทำให้มาตรฐานการท่องเที่ยวไทยสอดคล้องต่อมาตรฐานของโลกมากยิ่งขึ้น
พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติฯ ยังกล่าวอีกด้วยว่า การประสานกับหน่วยงานระหว่างประเทศที่เกิดขึ้นในการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเมื่อวาน (๒๓ ส.ค. ๖๕) เป็นเพียงมาตรการหนึ่งเท่านั้น การดูแลนักท่องเที่ยวและการท่องเที่ยวในภาพรวมทั้งหมดเพื่อให้สอดคล้องต่อ ICPT ยังต้องทำอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไปเพื่อให้การท่องเที่ยวไทยมีมาตรฐานสูงยิ่งขึ้นไปอีก ทั้งนี้ การดำเนินการทั้งหมดเป็นไปกรอบนโยบายของรัฐบาล กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา และสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติที่มุ่งเน้นให้การท่องเที่ยวของไทยเป็น Top of Mind ของโลกอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไป
นอกจากนี้ โฆษกกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวยังกล่าวเสริมอีกด้วยว่า ผู้แทนจากสถานทูตที่เข้าร่วมประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการทุกท่านชื่นชมแนวคิดและการประชุมของกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวเป็นอย่างมากที่ได้สร้างความเข้าใจมากขึ้นสำหรับการทำงานของตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองในปัจจุบันและอนาคต ซึ่งเป็นครั้งแรกที่เป็นการหารือกันอย่างใกล้ชิดแบบตรงไปตรงมาระหว่างตำรวจสองหน่วยงานกับเจ้าหน้าที่กงสุลจากสถานทูตของต่างประเทศ
ในนามของกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว พล.ต.ท. สุคุณ พรหมายน จึงขอถือโอกาสนี้ขอบคุณผู้แทนจากสถานทูตทุกท่าน สำนักงานตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมือง และการท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิสำหรับความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้
Tourist Police and Immigration cooperated with consulates to welcome tourists
Today (24 Aug. 2022) at 0930 at the Tourist Police Headquarters, Pol Lt Gen Sukhun Prommayon, Commissioner of Tourist Police Bureau, assigned Pol Maj Gen Apichat Suriboonya, Spokesman for the Tourist Police Bureau, has informed the media regarding the conclusion of the “Workshop on Preparation to Welcome Tourists” during high season between the Tourist Police Bureau, the Office of Immigration, Suvarnabhumi Airport and more than 40 consular staff from 18 embassies; namely, Australia, Belgium, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia and Switzerland. This workshop was held on 23 August 2022 at 0900-1300 hrs. in which the results of the workshop achieved the goal and benefited the tourism of Thailand as follow.
- This meeting is a forum to create a good understanding of each other’s work and problem solving among relevant agencies. The consular officers have a better understanding of the work of the Tourist Police and the Immigration which will be used to inform their own governments to publicize the people of their own country.
- It is the creation of relationships and a highly integrated work between departments relevant departments. This certainly will have a positive effect on tourists and a good image of Thai tourism, especially on the safety and security of tourists.
- It is a signal sent to many countries that Thailand is ready to welcome and take good care of tourists during the high season (October 2022 – February 2023).
- It is a signal to the United Nation World Tourism Organisation and many countries to know that Thailand is ready to adapt its existing measures to be in line with the International Code for The Protection of Tourists (ICPT), which was adopted by the World Tourism Organization late last year. This will make Thai tourism standards more consistent with world standards.
Pol Maj Gen Apichat also said that the coordination with international agencies that took place in workshop yesterday (23 Aug 19) is just a measure among many criteria. Taking care of tourists and tourism as a whole to comply with the ICPT must continue to achieve for enhance Thai tourism. All actions done so far are in line with the government’s policy framework, Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Royal Thai Police, which continually focuses on making Thai tourism to become “Top of Mind” of the world.
In addition, Mr Spokesman added that the embassy representatives who attended the workshop greatly appreciated the initiative and the said workshop as it has created a greater understanding of the current and future work of the Tourist Police and Immigration Police. This was the first time for close and direct discussion between the two police departments and consular officers from foreign embassies.
