วันนี้ (21 ส.ค.2565) พล.ต.ท.สุคุณ พรหมายน ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ได้มอบหมายให้ พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติ สุริบุญญา โฆษกกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวแจ้งต่อสื่อมวลชนว่า ในวันอังคารที่ 23 ส.ค.2565 ที่จะถึงนี้ กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว สำนักงานตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมือง การท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ และผู้แทนสถานทูต 18 ประเทศ อันประกอบด้วย ออสเตรเลีย เบลเยี่ยม สหราชอาณาจักร สาธารณรัฐเชค เดนมาร์ก ฟินแลนด์ ฝรั่งเศส เยอรมนี ฮังการี ไอร์แลนด์ อิตาลี ลักเซมเบอร์กโมร็อกโก เนเธอร์แลนด์ นอร์เวย์ สโลวาเกีย และสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ซึ่งเป็นประเทศจากกลุ่มทวีปยุโรปถึง 15 ประเทศรวมทั้งสิ้นมากกว่า 40 คน จะหารือร่วมกันในลักษณะการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการถึงมาตรการดูแลนักท่องเที่ยวอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพในช่วง high season (ต.ค. 65 – ก.พ. 66) ที่จะถึงนี้ที่กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว โดยผู้แทนหน่วยงานตำรวจทั้งสองหน่วยจะนำเสนอมาตรการดูแลรักษาความปลอดภัยนักท่องเที่ยวและการป้องกันไม่ให้อาชญากรรมข้ามชาติที่จะแฝงมาในรูปแบบของนักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาในประเทศได้อย่างเด็ดขาด และแม้หากหลุดรอดเข้ามาได้ ก็จะมีมาตรการความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศในการสืบสวน ติดตาม ผลักดันจับกุมส่งดำเนินคดีอย่างรวดเร็ว โดยหลังจากการหารือ จะมีการพาผู้แทนสถานทูตดังกล่าวสำรวจความพร้อมของการท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิด้วย
พล.ต.ต.อภิชาติฯ กล่าวถึงการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการที่จะถึงนี้ว่า เป็นแนวคิดร่วมกันระหว่างกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและผู้แทนสถานทูตทั้งหมดโดยได้รับความร่วมมือสนับสนุนอย่างดีจากสำนักงานตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองและการท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิเพื่อเตรียมการรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่จะเดินทางเที่ยวประเทศไทยในช่วง high season ที่จะถึง โดยแนวความคิดนี้เป็นไปตามเจตนารมย์ของรัฐบาล ของนายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา และของ พล.ต.อ.สุวัฒน์ แจ้งยอดสุข ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจแห่งชาติ ที่ต้องการเห็นการท่องเที่ยวของไทยเป็นการท่องเที่ยวเชิงคุณภาพและมีความยั่งยืนสอดคล้องต่อนโยบายขององค์การการท่องเที่ยวโลกหรือ UNWTO ในเรื่องของ Sustainable Tourism และสอดคล้องต่อมาตรการสากลว่าด้วยการคุ้มครองนักท่องเที่ยวหรือ International Code for the Protection of Tourists ที่ได้รับการรับรองแล้วจากสหประชาชาติแล้วเมื่อปลายปีที่แล้ว
โฆษกกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวยังกล่าวอีกว่า กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งหมดทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนที่เกี่ยวกับกับการท่องเที่ยวจะไม่หยุดเพียงเท่านี้ แต่จะมีมาตรการและความร่วมมือออกมาอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไปเพื่อให้นานาชาติเห็นว่า ประเทศไทยพร้อมแล้วที่จะปรับตัวและปรับมาตรการทั้งหมดให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานสากลเพื่อส่งเสริมให้อุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวไทยมีคุณภาพ ปลอดภัยและมั่นคง ซึ่งผลการหารือจากการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเป็นอย่างไร จะนำเรียนสื่อมวลชนให้ทราบต่อไป
Tourist Police and consulates from 18 countries prepare to welcome tourists during high season
Today (21 Aug 2022), Pol Lt Gen Sukhun Pormmayon, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau has assigned Pol Maj Gen Apichat Suriboonya, Spokesman of the Tourist Police Bureau to inform the press that on Tuesday 23rd August 2022, the Tourist Police Bureau, the Office of Immigration, Suvarnabhumi Airport and 18 foreign Embassies in Thailand: Australia, Belgium, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia and Switzerland in which there are 15 European countries with a total of more than 40 people will closely discuss together in the form of a workshop on effective measures to take care of tourists during the high season (Oct 2022 – Feb 2023) at the Tourist Police Bureau. Representatives from both police bureaus will definitively introduce measures to ensure the safety of tourists and to prevent transnational crimes that may be hidden in the form of tourists entering the country. Also, even they can somehow get in, there will be measures to cooperate between countries in the investigation, tracking, pushing, arresting and prosecuting quickly. After the discussion, the representatives of the embassy will be taken to explore the readiness of Suvarnabhumi Airport as well.
Pol Maj Pol Apichat added the upcoming workshop is a joint idea between the Tourist Police Bureau and all embassy representatives, with strong cooperation from the Office of Immigration and Suvarnabhumi Airport to prepare for welcoming and taking care of tourists travelling to Thailand during the high season. This initiative is an intention of the Thai government, of Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and of Pol Gen Suwat Chaengyodsuk, Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police, who want to see tourism in Thailand as a qualitative and sustainable tourism in accordance with the policy of the World Tourism Organization, and in accordance with International Code for the Protection of Tourists which was adopted by the United Nations late last year.
Mr Spokesman for the Tourist Police Bureau also said “The Tourist Police Bureau and all relevant government as well as private agencies related to tourism will not stop at the said discussion there. Rather, there will be various measures and cooperation will continue to come out so that the world sees Thailand is ready to adapt and adjust all measures in line with international standards to promote safety, stability and quality for Thai tourism industry. The results of the discussions from the workshop, however, will be brought to the media further.
