วันนี้ (11 ส.ค.2565) เวลา 09:00 น. พล.ต.ท.สุคุณ พรหมายน ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ได้มอบหมายให้ พล.ต.ต.อภิชาติ สุริบุญญา โฆษกกองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวแจ้งต่อสื่อมวลชนว่า เมื่อวานนี้ 10 ส.ค. 2565) เวลา 1600 น. นายชนะ สังข์น้อย อายุ 48 ปี พนักงานขับรถรับส่งนักท่องเที่ยวบริษัทแอ็กคอมได้พบกระเป๋าเงินบริเวณถนนสายบ่อผุด-บางรักษ์ โดยในกระเป๋าดังกล่าวประกอบไปด้วย เงินสดจำนวน 13,720 บาท,ใบขับขี่, และบัตรเครดิต จำนวน 5 ใบ นำมาส่งมอบให้กับทางเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจท่องเที่ยวเกาะสมุยเพื่อให้ติดตามหาเจ้าของกระเป๋าเงิน
พ.ต.ท. พุฒิพงศ์ วงศ์วัฒนเดช รักษาการสารวัตรท่องเที่ยวเกาะสมุย พร้อมด้วย ร.ต.อ. วรรณะ ศรีสะระ, ร.ต.ต.สิทธิทัศน์ แสงมณีธรรม, ด.ต.สุทัศน์ ขาวเรือง, ด.ต.สุพจน์ พงศ์ไทย, ด.ต.เอกมนต์ รักษาวงศ์ และส.ต.อ. วิทวัส อิ่มคำ ได้รับไว้กระเป๋าเงินพร้อมบัตรดังกล่าวทั้งหมดไว้
เมื่อตรวจสอบจากใบขับขี่พบเป็นชื่อ Miss Carole Montana สัญชาติบริติช จึงได้รีบประสานงานกับตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองประจำเกาะสมุยทันที และพบว่ามีชื่อนักท่องเที่ยวดังกล่าวเข้ามาพักที่เกาะสมุยตั้งแต่วันที่ 9 ส.ค. 2565 โดยพักอยู่ที่ The Bay Condominium เลขที่ 20/43 หมู่ 4 ตำบลบ่อผุด และมีกำหนดจะออกจากเกาะสมุยวันที่ 22 ส.ค.2565 จึงพร้อมด้วยนายชนะฯ พนักงานขับรถผู้พบกระเป๋าเงินเดินทางไปยังสถานที่พักดังกล่าวทันที
ทันทีที่พบ Miss Carole Montana และสอบถามก็พบว่า เจ้าตัวได้ทำกระเป๋าพร้อมบัตรเครดิตทั้งหมดหายจริงโดยไม่ทราบว่าหายที่ไหน ตำรวจท่องเที่ยวจึงส่งมอบกระเป๋าเงิน ใบขับขี่และบัตรเครดิตทั้งหมดคืนให้พร้อมอธิบายว่าพบเจอทรัพย์สินทั้งหมดนี้ได้อย่างไร
ทันทีที่ Miss Montana ได้ทรัพย์สินทั้งหมดคืนถึงกับร้องว้าว! ด้วยความดีใจอย่างสุดซึ้ง และกล่าวชื่นชมนายชนะฯ และตำรวจท่องเที่ยวอย่างมากที่สามารถนำทรัพย์สินของตัวเองทั้งหมดที่หายไปโดยไม่คิดว่าตัวเองจะได้คืน กลับมาคืนได้อย่างครบถ้วน ด้วยความชื่นชมและความดีใจนี้ จึงได้มอบเงินจำนวน 2,000 บาทเป็นรางวัลให้กับนายชนะฯ ผู้พบทรัพย์สินทั้งหมดแล้วนำมาคืน และขอบคุณตำรวจท่องเที่ยวโดยยืนยันว่า จะกลับมาเที่ยวเมืองไทยอีก
แต่ไม่จบเพียงเท่านั้น เรื่องดังกล่าวได้ทราบถึงประชาชนท่านหนึ่งซึ่งไม่ประสงค์ออกนามได้โทรมาสอบถามรายละเอียดที่เกิดขึ้น และเกิดความประทับใจในการทำความดีของนายชนะฯมาก ที่ได้สร้างชื่อเสียงให้ประเทศไทย จึงขอมอบเงิน 10,000 บาทเป็นรางวัลในการทำความดีให้กับนายชนะฯ ผ่านมายังตำรวจท่องเที่ยว โดยขอให้ตำรวจท่องเที่ยวนำเงินจำนวนนี้มอบให้นายชนะฯ และฝากขอบคุณนายชนะฯ ในนามของคนไทยทุกคนจากการทำความดีสร้างชื่อเสียงให้คนไทยในครั้งนี้ด้วย ซึ่งตำรวจท่องเที่ยวเกาะสมุยได้มอบเงินจำนวนดังกล่าวเป็นที่เรียบร้อยยังความปลาบปลื้มต่อนายชนะฯและครอบครัวเป็นอย่างยิ่ง
พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติฯ กล่าวต่อท้ายว่า ปรากฏการณ์ครั้งนี้ได้สร้างผลกระทบเชิงบวกอย่างมากต่อการท่องเที่ยวของไทย โดยอธิบายว่า ในช่วงหนึ่งเดือนที่ผ่านมา ตำรวจท่องเที่ยวได้ช่วยเหลือนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติจำนวนมากจากหลายประเทศทั้งที่เป็นข่าวและไม่เป็นข่าวให้ได้ทรัพย์สินมีค่าที่หายไปแล้วกลับคืนมาได้ครบถ้วนหลายกรณี ซึ่งล้วนสร้างความประทับใจให้กับนักท่องต่างชาติแทบทั้งสิ้น ทุกคนยืนยันเป็นเสียวกันว่า จะกลับมาเที่ยวเมืองไทยอีกเพราะประทับใจมาก
พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติฯ เสริมอีกว่า สิ่งที่คนไทยหลายคนได้ทำดีไปทั้งที่เป็นข่าวและไม่เป็นข่าว รวมถึงการกระทำอันทรงคุณค่าของนายชนะฯ และตำรวจท่องเที่ยวสมุยในครั้งนี้ ได้เพิ่มความสามารถในการแข่งขันและบรรยากาศอันน่าประทับใจต่อการท่องเที่ยวไทยได้อย่างดียิ่ง นี่คือปรากฏการณ์ที่ไม่ได้เกิดได้ง่ายเลยสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่สูญเสียกระเป๋าเงินและบัตรเครดิตของตัวเองไปแล้วได้คืนกลับมาครบถ้วนโดยเงินไม่หายแต่บาทเดียว แต่เรื่องดีๆ แบบนี้ก็เกิดขึ้นแล้วหลายครั้งในประเทศไทยโดยคนไทยที่มีคุณภาพและการประสานงานของตำรวจท่องเที่ยว
ในนามของสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา และตำรวจท่องเที่ยวทุกคน ขอขอบคุณนายชนะ สังข์น้อย และประชาชนผู้ไม่ประสงค์ออกนามที่มอบรางวัลให้กับนายชนะเป็นอย่างยิ่งสำหรับการกระทำที่สร้างชื่อเสียงให้ประเทศชาติในครั้งนี้ และหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า คนไทยทุกคนจะร่วมกันสร้างความประทับใจแบบนี้ให้กับนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติมากขึ้นไปอีก ซึ่งจะทำให้ประเทศไทยเป็นมหาอำนาจท่องเที่ยวและมีรายได้เข้าประเทศได้อย่างเป็นกอบเป็นกำในห้วงเวลาของการเปิดประเทศอย่างแน่นอน ซึ่งตำรวจท่องเที่ยวทุกคนพร้อมเป็นกำลังใจให้กับคนไทยทุกคนสำหรับการสร้างความประทับใจให้กับนักท่องเที่ยวและการเป็นเจ้าภาพที่ดี และพร้อมเสมอที่จะประสานงานทำให้ความประทับใจนี้เป็นผลรูปธรรมและเป็นที่รับรู้ของนานาชาติให้เร็วที่สุด

British tourist had tears of joy for getting her lost wallet back from tourist police meanwhile the person who found the wallet was rewarded with unbelievable large money.
Today (11 Aug. 2022) at 9:00 a.m. Pol. Lt. Gen. Sukhun Pormmayon, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau has assigned Pol Maj Gen Apichat Suriboonya, Spokesman for the Tourist Police Bureau, told the press that on 10 August 2022 at 1600 hours, Mr Chana Sangnoi, 48, a tourist shuttle driver of ACCOM Company, found a purse on the Bophut-Bangrak Road. The purse consisted of 13,720 baht of cash, a driver’s license, and five credit cards, which were handed over to the Koh Samui Tourist Police to track down the owner of the wallet.
Pol Lt. Col. Puttipong Wongwattanadej, Acting Tourist Inspector of Koh Samui, together with Pol. Lt. Col. Wanna Srisara, Pol. Lt. Col. Sitthat Saengmaneetham, Pol. Maj. Suthat Khaoruang, Dr. Maj. Supot Pongthai, Pol.Maj.Gen. Ekamon Raksawong and Pol.Lt. Col. Wittawat Imkham received the purse, all the money in the wallets and the said cards.
Upon examination of the driver’s license, it was found that the name on the license is Miss Carole Montana, British nationality. The tourist police immediately coordinated with the immigration police in Koh Samui and found that the name of such a tourist has been in Koh Samui since 9 August 2022, staying at The Bay Condominium, No. 20/43, Moo 4, Bophut Subdistrict, and is scheduled to leave Koh Samui on 22 August 2022. Together with Mr. Chana, the driver who found the wallet, immediately went to the condominium.
Later, the tourist police met Miss Carole Montana, they found that Miss Montana has lost her wallet and all her credit cards without knowing where they were lost. The tourist police then handed over her the wallet and all her credit cards and explained how all of these assets were found.
As soon as Miss Montana got all her belongings back, she cried with profound joy. She praised Mr. Chana and the tourist police, who are able to take back to her all their lost belongings that she did not think they will be returned to her. She immediately gave 2,000 baht as a reward to Mr. Chana and thanked the tourist police by confirming that she will absolutely come back to visit Thailand again.
But this story doesn’t end there. The matter was informed to a person, who did not wish to be named, who called to inquire about what happened, and was very impressed with the good deeds of Mr. Chana that has built a reputation for Thailand. This person presented 10,000 baht as a reward for doing good deeds to Mr. Chana, and asked the tourist police to bring this money to Mr. Chana, and thank Mr. Chana on behalf of all Thai people from doing good deeds to build a reputation for Thai people. The Koh Samui Tourist Police has later handed over the said money to Mr. Chana and his family.
Pol Maj. Gen. Apichat added that this phenomenon has made a very positive impact on Thai tourism, explaining that in the past one month the Tourist Police has helped many foreign tourists from many countries, both known in news and not known in news, to recover their lost valuables in many cases, which all cases made an impression to all foreign tourists. All tourists who got help always confirm they come back to visit Thailand again because of the impression.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Apichat added that what many Thai people have done well in both news and non-news, including the recent valuable action of Mr. Chana and the Samui Tourist Police in this time, has greatly increased the competitiveness and impressive atmosphere for Thai tourism. This is a phenomenon that does not happen easily for tourists who have lost their wallets and their credit cards have been returned in full without losing a single baht, but good things like this have already happened many times in Thailand by Thai people with the quality and coordination of the Tourist Police
On behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Royal Thai Police and all tourist police officer, I would like to thank Mr. Chana Sangnoi for the deeds that made the nation famous this time, and sincerely hope that all Thai people will come together to create an impression like this for more foreign tourists. This will definitely make Thailand a tourism superpower and earn substantial income in the time of opening the country. Certainly, all the Tourist Police are ready to support all Thai people for making an impression on tourists and being a good host, and is always ready to coordinate to make this impression become tangible and recognized internationally as quickly as possible.
