วันนี้ (9 ก.พ.65) เวลา 10:00 น. ณ กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว พล.ต.ต.อภิชาติ สุริบุญญา รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวในฐานะโฆษกของกองบัญชาการฯ ได้แถลงต่อสื่อมวลชนกรณี Mr Jimi Singh SANDHU ชาวอินเดีย แต่ใช้หนังสือเดินทางแคนาดาในชื่อของ Mr Mandeep Singh ถูกยิงเสียชีวิตหน้าโรงแรม Breachfront Hotel Phuket จังหวัดภูเก็ตเมื่อวันที่ 5 ก.พ.2565 ที่ผ่านมาว่า
กรณีดังกล่าว นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา และ พล.ต.อ. สุวัฒน์ แจ้งยอดสุข ผบ.ตร. ได้ให้ความสนใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งเพราะเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวอาจส่งผลกระทบต่อการท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดภูเก็ตและการท่องเที่ยวในภาพรวมของประเทศได้ จึงได้สั่งการให้ตำรวจทุกหน่วยที่เกี่ยวข้องซึ่งรวมถึงตำรวจท่องเที่ยวรีบเร่งสืบสวนจับกุมผู้กระทำผิดให้ได้โดยเร็วที่สุด
ซึ่งต่อมา พล.ต.ท.สุคุณ พรหมายน ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ได้สั่งกำชับกองบังคับการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว 3 ซึ่งรับผิดชอบพื้นที่ภาคใต้ทั้งหมดให้ประสานความร่วมมือการปฏิบัติการกับตำรวจจังหวัดภูเก็ตและกองบัญชาการตำรวจภูธรภาค 8 รวมไปถึงกองการต่างประเทศอย่างใกล้ชิดเพื่อให้มีการจับกุมคนร้ายรายนี้โดยเร็ว และยังสั่งให้ฝ่ายต่างประเทศของตำรวจท่องเที่ยวประสานข้อมูลกับนายตำรวจประสานงานระหว่างประเทศของแคนาดาและอินเดียอย่างต่อเนื่องทุกระยะด้วย เนื่องจากข้อมูลเบื้องต้นพบว่า ผู้เสียชีวิตมีประวัติเกี่ยวข้องกับกลุ่มองค์กรอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติหลายกลุ่ม
พล.ต.ท.สุคุณฯ ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวยืนยันหนักแน่นด้วยว่า นักท่องเที่ยวไม่ว่าจะมาจากต่างประเทศหรือเป็นคนไทย รวมไปถึงสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวทุกแห่งในประเทศจะต้องมีความปลอดภัยสูงสุด และอยากให้นักท่องเที่ยวทุกท่านดาวน์โหลดแอพพลิเคชัน Tourist Police I-Lert-U ซึ่งจะทำให้ติดต่อขอความช่วยเหลือหรือแจ้งเหตุกับตำรวจท่องเที่ยวได้อย่างรวดเร็วทุกเวลาตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง และสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ ไม่ต้องกังวลเรื่องการสื่อสาร เพราะศูนย์บริการนักท่องเที่ยวของตำรวจท่องเที่ยวที่มีสายด่วน 1155 นั้น สามารถให้บริการ 5 ภาษาต่างประเทศหลักได้แก่ อังกฤษ รัสเซีย จีน ญี่ปุ่น และเกาหลี อย่างทันที
สำหรับคดีนี้ หากมีความคืบหน้าเป็นอย่างไรแล้ว ตำรวจท่องเที่ยวจะแถลงผ่านสื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวทุกท่านได้รับทราบทุกระยะต่อไป

Tourist police says an Indian-Canadian guy was shot
On 9 February 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tourist Police Bureau, Pol. Maj. Gen. Apichat Suriboonya, Deputy Commissioner of Tourist Police Bureau as a spokesman for the Bureau, has announced to the press in case of Mr Jimi Singh SANDHU, an Indian but using a Canadian passport in the name of Mr Mandeep Singh, was shot dead in front of the Breachfront Hotel Phuket, Phuket Province on February 5, 2022 that in such a case, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Pol. Gen. Suwat Chaengyodsuk, Commissioner General of Royal Thai Police, have paid great attention because the incident could affect to tourism in Phuket and the overall tourism of the country. Both of them ordered all relevant police units, including the Tourist Police Bureau, have speeded up their investigation and bringing the perpetrators to justice as quickly as possible.
Subsequently, Pol. Lt. Gen. Sukhun Pormmayon, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau has instructed the Tourist Police Division 3, which is responsible for the entire southern region, to coordinate operations with the Phuket Provincial Police and Provincial Police Region 8, as well as the Foreign Affairs Division, in order to make an early arrest of this culprit. He has also ordered the Tourist Police’s foreign affairs to coordinate with the Canadian and Indian Police Liaison in terms of information exchange at all times because the preliminary information found that the dead person had a history of involvement with a number of transnational organized crime groups.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Pormmayon firmly confirmed that all tourists, whether from other countries or Thai people, and every tourist attraction in the country must have the highest safety. He would like all tourists to download the Tourist Police I-Lert-U application, which will allow them to quickly contact for help or report all with the Tourist Police 24 hours a day. He also said do not worry about communication because the tourist service center of the Tourist Police Bureau, with hotline 1155, can provide instant services in 5 main foreign languages: English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
