วันนี้ (23 ก.ย. 65) เวลา 13.30 น. พล.ต.ท.สุคุณ พรหมายน ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ได้มอบหมายให้ พล.ต.ต.อภิชาติ สุริบุญญา รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวและโฆษกกองบัญชาการฯ ร่วมงาน Hot meet DMC India & South Asia Market ณ โรงแรมอมารี วอเตอร์เกท ซึ่งจัดโดยชมรมผู้ประกอบการท่องเที่ยวไทย-อินเดีย (TITC) ร่วมกับสมาคมโรงแรมไทย และสมาคมเอเชียศึกษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เป็นเวทีการเจรจาธุรกิจสร้างความสัมพันธ์และจับคู่ทางการค้าระหว่าง 80 สถานประกอบการโรงแรม และ 40 บริษัทนำเที่ยวตลาดอินเดียชื่อดังในประเทศไทย
พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติฯ กล่าวว่า ในงานดังกล่าว ได้มีโอกาสหารือกับผู้บริหารชมรมผู้ประกอบการท่องเที่ยวไทย-อินเดีย และผู้เชี่ยวชาญเอเชียใต้จากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งทำให้เข้าใจบริบทของการท่องเที่ยวของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวอินเดียมากขึ้น และทราบว่า ในช่วง high season ที่จะถึงเร็ววันนี้ น่าจะมีนักท่องเที่ยวชาวอินเดียเดินทางมาเที่ยวไทยจำนวนมาก เพราะประเทศไทยคือที่หมายการท่องเที่ยวหลักของชาวอินเดีย
พล.ต.ต. อภิชาติฯ กล่าวอีกว่า ในอนาคตอันใกล้ก่อน high season จะหาโอกาสเชิญผู้มีประสบการณ์และผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้งหลายเหล่านี้มาหารือที่กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวเพื่อรับทราบข้อมูลอันจะนำไปสู่การเตรียมตัวการรักษาความปลอดภัยให้กับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวอินเดียให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น นอกจากนี้ ทางชมรมผู้ประกอบการท่องเที่ยวไทย-อินเดีย ก็ยอมรับว่า ในหมู่นักท่องเที่ยวจำนวนมากนั้น ย่อมมีนักท่องเที่ยวที่มีพฤติกรรมไม่สมควรอยู่บ้าง และก็อาจมีอาชญากรที่แฝงตัวมาในรูปของนักท่องเที่ยวด้วย ซึ่งทางชมรมฯ พร้อมเสมอที่จะให้ความร่วมมือกับทางตำรวจท่องเที่ยวอย่างเต็มที่เพื่อให้การท่องเที่ยวระหว่างไทยกับอินเดียมีความมั่นใจและมีความมั่นคงมากขึ้น
Tourist police coordinate the private sector to accept Indian tourists
Today (23 September 2022) at 1330 hrs. Pol Lt. Gen. Sukhun Pormmayon, Commissioner of Tourist Police Bureau has assigned Maj. Gen. Apichat Suriboonya, Deputy Commissioner of Tourist Police Bureau and spokesman for the Bureau, attended Hot meet DMC India & South Asia Market at the Amari Watergate Hotel. This event was organized by the Thai Indian Tour Guide Club (TITC) in collaboration with the Thai Hotels Association and the Association of Asian Studies Chulalongkorn University. The objective is to be a forum for business negotiations, building relationships and trade matching between 80 hotel establishments and 40 famous Indian tour operators in Thailand.
Pol Maj. Gen. Apichat said that at the event he had an opportunity to discuss with the executives of the Thai Indian Tour Guide Club and with South Asian experts from Chulalongkorn University. This made him understand more the context of Indian’s tourism and learnt that during the high season that is coming soon, there will likely be many Indian tourists traveling to Thailand. It is because Thailand is the main tourist destination for Indians.
Pol Maj. Gen. Apichat added that in the near future before the high season, the tourist police will seek opportunities to invite all these experienced and experts to meet each other at the Tourist Police Bureau to get more information which will lead to well preparations for providing safety to Indian tourists. In addition, the Thai-Indian Tour Guide Club also accepted that among many Indian tourists, there may be some tourists who have some inappropriate behaviour, and there may also be criminals disguised in the form of tourists, which the TITC is always ready to cooperate with the Tourist Police to make tourism between Thailand and India more confident and stable.
